I can't believe it took me so long to post about this!
Last month, 永久少年 Eternal Boys, an anime about older men forming an idol group was announced!!! This anime is about men somewhere near 40 yrs old becoming an idol group after experiencing the ups and downs of society in their respective fields. Cast and more info about this series below~

He worked for a company 17 years before it suddenly went bankrupt. Even though he continued applying for new jobs, he was always turned down. He's an old man on the precipice of life that will soon run out of unemployment insurance. His serious personality makes him no fun, a very passive person who isn't passionate about anything in particular.

Afterwards, he began to sing and dance and even challenged Enka music but his dreams never came true. Now, he's an old man who can't give up on his dreams.

Even though he became popular as a model in his younger days, his bad attitude caused him to be banished from the modeling world. He feels extremely grateful to the former president of Manpuku for hiring him on as a manager, he's an old man who has a strong sense of justice and is betting his life on the success of the company.

Former occupation: Host club manager and former No. 1 host
Made his debut as a host at 18 yrs old in Kabukichou. He would go on to be the number one host and eventually take over as manager. Decided to become an idol after he received a call from the president of Manpuku.
As you can tell from the photo above, this anime will be hilarious. I’m gonna be all over this series!! I love ossan seiyuu and many of my favs are in this anime. According to eeo Media, the anime will be broadcast this Fall and there’s plans to make a visual novel game directly after the anime ends! There’s also a manga series to enjoy before the anime premieres!! The Kindle version of Monthly Comic Gene(?), which only costs $4.47 USD when I bought my copy, has chapter 1 and it’s hilarious!
