Wondering if the constant and consistent promotional push that Beth and the girls were “forced” into crime by Rio which 1) makes him look like a villain to the general audience and 2) gives nbc points for being all women empowerment, “fuck the man” bs.
But they’ll ureveal, as a mid-season twist, that Rio and Beth both planned his shooting in the season 2 finale. It would make sense since Manny himself said that they’re going to be exploring more of Rio’s background in season 3. Why go through all that effort if he’s just the “big bad wolf”? AND it would be acknowledging that Beth CHOSE the life of crime.
At least that’s what I’m hoping cause if they make the only Hispanic male character into the evil “gang” leader who forced the innocent white woman into a life of crime and sin then I’ll lose it.
