So, about all this hate on Jared
I am truly disgusted with some of these people in our fandom.
As most people have probably heard, Jared had made an innocent joke to a British girl who asked a question to J2 at a convention and it was supposed to be pointed towards The World Cup but people took it out of context and made others believed that he was talking about the dispute on the Mexican/U.S. border.
I do not have a Twitter but I’m sure most of you do. The link to this post can be found here.
Here is the chat I had with my best friend over the matter:
I probably have no right to speak my mind about this; I am, after all, just a small blog with few followers and I do not even have a Twitter account, but I am going to rant about this anyway.
If you were to watch the entirety of the video (which I did), you would have been able to see that Jared was only teasing about the girl being British and coming to the U.S. He was in no way relating his joke to what is currently happening in America.
If you read the thread, on down you can even find the girl who this joke was said to tries to justify Jared’s statement and claims that it was not offensive in the slightest and, as the girl herself quoted, even called her his “British friend!”
But, even as she tried to justify his statement, there were still people commenting about how Jared disgusts them and that he had no right. They even went as far as blaming Jensen and Genevieve for his joke.
Even if you look at his joke out of context, he made a mistake. Everyone does. Maybe the words came out of his mouth before he could stop them. Maybe making jokes was just how he coping with what is happening. Why must you go and pick at his flaws? Why must you attack him for every little mistake he has made? Even going as far as attacking his best friend and wife!
Jared loves his fans - he loves us. All of the SPN cast members have claimed this. All he wants is to make us happy, to keep us entertained with the show.
Jared Padalecki is a wonderful human being that has made mistakes just like everyone! He deserves love, not hate! How could a man like him possibly disgust anyone?
