The uniform and the alternative fashion

To clarify things, so there are no misunderstandings: I don't have any problem with how people dress. But I do have a problem with some attitudes, especially when they somehow affect me or people around me. This post is exactly about that. +++ I have become so bored with "alternative fashion" lately. I used the "" on purpose because the kind of fashion that I am going to describe does actually refer only to a certain kind of attitude towards alternative fashion.  Of course, one can do whatever they like and dress the way they want. What actually bothers me is that many people call themselves "original" and they refer to alternative fashion (what they understand by it) as being "different, original and not boring at all" when in fact they dress the same almost to the point most of the outfits just look identical. There is even a pressure to dress a certain way. Don't have the Jeffrey Campbel shoes? Not alternative or cool enough. Don't own a corset? Not alternative enough. And I could go on. Don't ever allow this pressure to make you feel worth less or uncool. You should be able to express yourself by dressing a certain way. If you feel comfortable following the crowd, then good for you. This post is not aimed at you. Well, unless you think you look fucking different than anybody else.  end. of. rant.
