Nice lady presenting w indurated buccal swelling and mild aching (its “better” after a round of antibiotics). Finding on mb apex of 30. Obturation shows transportation, but not a significant as 31. Perio intact. Bottom line, re-tx, surgery or ext/implant? Can the fill be improved? Not likely, so surgery or implant. How to help the decision? Gotta have a scan. Pic 2 displays a series of 1.13mm slices and a progression of half moon shaped lucency from furca (along mb surface) to apex, where the cancellus bone is destroyed.
