Hey, do you have a specific layout for the McGucket farm? Or a vague layout? Or do you not really. Just curious.
I think that @nour386 has tried to sketch up a layout of the farm before, and I maaaaaaay have tried to at one point, but I honestly don’t know, and I figured now is as good a time as any to figure something out so
here is the Official McGucket Farmstead (not to scale):
here is the general layout of the property. as you can tell, I have not given it much thought, and realized after I uploaded the picture that I forgot to label the bottom part. that’s a highway. there’s a lot of wiggle room and ambiguity here, but this is basically how I’m imagining it. bordered by a neighboring farm on one side, forest on the others. there are also a lot of trees and some fields.
here is the general layout of the actual house. and I am now realizing I didn’t draw the borders for the garage. eh. c’est la vie. you can also see that I forgot to label the front porch before I uploaded the picture lmao. and I didn’t draw all the doors. there are more doors. I promise. I just forgot to draw them.
while there is less ambiguity here (I’m basing the general layout on an actual house I have been to many times), there’s still some. I didn’t label who lived where except for Angie and Lute, bc this was sketched with the “Stanley McGucket” fic in mind, and only the younger three were at home. where is Fidds’ room? hell if I know. it’s somewhere. let’s say it’s one of the two bedrooms I didn’t distinguish.
.....and I’ve just realized that I forgot to label the guest room. whoops.
okay, the other of the 2 bedrooms I didn’t distinguish is the guest room.
there seems to not be a perfect number of rooms for the number of Gucks, but like I said, this was sketched with a specific time point in mind; earlier, the guest room may have been an actual bedroom, and/or Basstian and Harper shared a room for a while.
there’s a rec room of some sort on the second floor where there’s probably a piano, and other things, but I don’t know. also, there’s no room directly over the living room; the rec room is almost like a balcony. there’s a railing instead of a wall and you can look down into the living room from it.
in my defense, I was working on dinner in between sketching this, so that’s why the sketches are messes and not to scale. but anyways, here’s a general layout. maybe I’ll make a better one at some point, but hopefully this is enough for whatever you have planned. ;)
