They usually pay your child for the candy and send the non perishables to the troops over seas * Check out http://www.halloweencandybuyback.com for other businesses participating in the program. * Google these charities to see where you can donate: Operation Gratitude, Operation Shoebox, Ronald McDonald House Charities * Set a bunch of it aside to use to decorate gingerbread houses with friends/family * Freeze it for a treat every now and again * You can always purge it from your pantry so the temptation isn’t there. (I know, no one likes this option, but it is an option!) With all the treat that are out during the upcoming holiday season, taking little steps now let’s you enjoy the season without over indulging or depriving yourself.
