Toothless was still getting used to being human, this was all so weird. He was used to being on all fours, he stood on two when he was teasing or mocking Hiccup but other than that. So that meant his balance was really off. “I swear I did not just trip over my own two feet.” Even having a voice was odd. Not his usual chirps or growls. He was kneeling on the ground after taking a tumble. “How does one walk with just two feet?”

“I am a king, an alpha... and I am stuck in a human body.” He might have all his powers that he had as a dragon but it wouldn’t matter if his frail body was damaged. “What if I cannot protect you or Dart? I cannot lose you and those stupid monsters... look at this.” He moved the shirt from his arm to show some scratches. They’d easily heal, it wasn’t anything big and after what happened to his tail all those years ago this was nothing but scratches was not something he was used to.

“Okay that is disgusting.” Toothless pulled a face after trying a bit of a beer. It was so gross. Why did people like it? He had seen the vikings drinking it a lot but it tasted so weird. “Why do people like this?” He looked over at the other with wide yellow eyes.

Toothless was just chewing on his nails. He needed to figure out how to make this place work but he was very much on his own. He couldn’t fly so no way to get home and he was like Hiccup. “What? Do I have something on my face?” He did have his bright green eyes that verged on the side of yellow.

Toothless couldn’t help but grin. He was having a good time. He might not be the best human but this was funny. Dancing, he could get involved like he couldn’t do as a dragon. “Okay dancing is fun on two feet. I’ll give you that.” Toothless beamed over at the person next to him.

“Why? What? When? Where? How??” Toothless was stood there rubbing his forehead. He had tripped over his own two feet and gone face first into a lamp pole. “What is it with humans and putting giant metal poles in the middle of places for people to walk? It makes no sense!” Since he was still figuring this whole being human thing out a lot of things confused him. He couldn’t even find Hiccup who might be able to help him. Or Astrid. He needed someone. He was here without his partner and without their kids.

Toothless was so glad to be back in Washington. He never thought he’d be glad to see this concrete mess of buildings. Normally he would really be disgusted by it but right now after all that it was the most beautiful sight. “What in the name was all that?” He looked over at the woman. “Is this a natural human occurrence to be slingshot all over the place?”

First Disaster: Lightning Storm

Toothless was so done with this Island from hell. He wasn’t a dragon and it just made everything worse. He had his abilities but they couldn’t do much against natural disasters. His strength and speed helped but that was it. Exhausted he sat next to a tree, leaning his head against it and closing is eyes. A shadow fell over his face and immediately his hands began to glow thinking it was some disaster coming his way. He opened his eyes and relaxed when he saw Cornelia’s familiar face. “Oh it’s just you.” He let out a sigh, leaning his head back against the tree. “Good to see you’re surviving.”
