My ideal Jane Austen parents would be Henry Tilney and Elizabeth Bennet. What about you?
My top parent picks were Henry Tilney and Anne Elliot, I think they would work very well together as they are different enough to have seperate strengths and to make up for each other's weaknesses. Most of the original pairs are pretty good from that point of view. Elizabeth and Darcy, Anne and Wentworth, they compliment each other really well, as do most of the couples.
I personally find Henry Tilney and Elizabeth Bennet too similar to be a good parenting team (I also think the combined sass of their children would cause an apocalypse), they would end up with the same strengths and the same weaknesses. This might happen with Jane & Charles Bingley, who are very similar as Mr. Bennet points out.
My ideal Austen parents wouldn't be heroes or heroines though, I want Mrs. Jennings or the Crofts ❤️
