Celebrities draw the maximum attention of audiences all around the world. SEMrush recently conducted a global study on the popularity of Indian actors and actresses across the boundaries.
The study contains global data from October 2018 to October 2019 and found that Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra are the topmost internationally searched Indian celebrities. In October 2019, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan were searched 2.74 and 1.83 million times respectively. The most searches for Priyanka Chopra were made in December 2018. She was searched 13.6 million times that month. Searches for Salman Khan in a single month never exceeded 2.74 million; he was searched this many times in December 2018.
Excitingly, Priyanka Chopra is leading the race with a monthly search volume of more than 4.2 million, however, Salman Khan has over 2 million monthly searches. The study has two segments bifurcated into Indian actors and actresses. Considering segments individually, the top three most popular actors are Salman Khan, Amrish Puri and Shahrukh Khan. The latter two were searched an average of 1.7 million times respectively.
