These T&C’s are often what Doc Searls, Founder of VRM and author of The Intention Economy, calls “contracts of adhesion.” This means the T&C’s are not designed to create trust with customers, but to protect the organization in question and (in general) allow them to do whatever they’d like with y/our personal data now and into the future.
