We’re on a roll with fine indie talent from the City Of Angels as we eagerly dive into TOPIA’s atmospheric blend of euphoric and gothic electronic pop on luxurious Lay It On The Line. The pair’s indie electronica is glitzy and glamorous, to say the least. Its dreamy whirring synths and deep hypnagogic beats are a cross between Cut Copy and Washed Out, but saturated in chill thrumming disco. Lay It On The Line is a track that deals with emotional honesty. Specifically, it’s about how it’s difficult to explain how you feel about something or someone, but it’s always worth the effort.
