🔥 + triggers
i think this is a popular opinion and universally respected, but imma say it anyways. TAG. YOUR. TRIGGERS. please, i cannot stress this enough, TAG THEM. and the trigger name should ALWAYS come BEFORE the ‘tw’ or the ‘//’ or whatever other thing you use; that way, if you’re using tumblr savior or xkit blacklist, then it can be easily recognized.
also, don’t take triggers lightly. what i mean by that is that if you merely feel UNCOMFORTABLE by seeing something (ie. blood), you should be saying you feel ‘squicked out’ by it. a squick should not be comparable to an actual trigger. a trigger is something that brings that fight-or-flight response, the feeling of being back to that traumatic place or reliving that traumatic memory over again. if you come across something and just go, ‘oh, i don’t really wanna see that again’, then you’re squicked out. if your fight-or-flight response kicks in, however, and you’re brought back to that event, then you’re actually triggered and should block that tag / post / person who posted it so you can avoid another episode.
SEND ME A “ 🔥 “ FOR AN UNPOPULAR OPINION.
