I think I did this already, but @sethnakht tagged me, so I shall answer.

height: 5′7″ and all of it is torso, sadly

favourite fruit: Bananas

favourite season: Autumn, everything else can f*ck off

favourite scent: Fresh laundry.  I like cinnamon a lot, too.

favourite colour: Hmm, that’s a good question.  Depends on what it is.  I really like rich royal blues as a color to look at.  Taupe, particularly purple taupes, is my favorite neutral, particularly in eye makeup.  Rich, bright reds are my favorite lip color.

favourite animal: I’m not actually huge animal person, but I like living with cats.  For wild animals, maybe platypus or lion.

favourite fictional character: Both the prequels came out, Luke Skywalker was my Big Fave, but admittedly, the prequels shifted him to third place behind Anakin and Obi Wan.

coffee, tea, or hot chocolate:  Tea is my #1, though I’ve tragically had to go decaf for black tea.  Hot chocolate on occasion.  I can’t drink coffee because it’s really hard on my stomach.  I have it very, very occasionally.

number of blankets you sleep with: When it’s summer, a light sheet, except when it’s been miserably hot and I can’t stand having anything on me.  Winter is cold here, so we load up with sheets, a thermal blanket, a comforter, and usually a lighter comforter under that.  I actually prefer sleeping in the cold with heavy blankets on me, lol.

when was your blog created: Longer than I’d like to think, I’m sure.

favourite subject: Ah man, I have such a varied educational background...Biology and English literature are probably my two favorites, which is not surprising given that they represent my two Bachelors degrees, lol.  But I also like chemistry and math.  I’m not as skilled with the upper level maths that get into more abstract equations because I’m not intuitively logical, which is why ProbStat and Physics are the math courses that were A Struggle.  But I’ve actually been in college at least part time since I was eighteen.

currently watching: I was watching Teen Wolf (I KNOW OKAY), but haven’t had the time or energy to really get into season 2 because Derek is being an idiot in it, and that gives me contact embarrassment for him.  Mostly I watch nature and disaster documentaries on YouTube because I enjoy reflecting on the smallness of human existence.

favourite band: Florence and the Machine

instruments played: haha I have no artistic talents beyond writing

favourite book: White Teeth by Zadie Smith completely changed the way I thought about contemporary literature.  (Christ, to be that talented in your twenties!)  East of Eden is probably my favorite classic novel.  For science-y stuff, I really loved Carl Jung’s Symbols of Man, even if the psychology is considered outdated.

I started my polytheist career by - accidentally - asking "any god who's listening" to do something to make my then-friend-now-husband happy again.

It blizzarded, before I even got home, which made my walk increasingly difficult. The campus came to a standstill because of the ridiculous, and sudden, snowfall. Husband was delighted.... and blames me to this day. A little while later, Loki introduced himself. Not a coincidence, I expect. 😅

I really want some December snow. Not too much, but it's just wet and miserable here in Nova Scotia and it doesn't feel Christmassy at all. Do you think... if I'm a little more careful... I can repeat the trick? ❄️

There’s no easy way to come out with this so I’m just going to be blunt.

I’ve been thinking about this for a couple of months now and I’m 99% certain I’m genderfluid. Not entirely certain of the terminology that fits, but that’s... a thing. I’d really appreciate if - mostly when talking to people who don’t know me - you use they/them pronouns, but I’m alright with she/her for established relationships.

Sidenote: if you know me IRL please keep this to yourself.
