Día 10 en Lima. Plaza San Miguel
el martes, 12 marzo 2013. A remote control helicopter at my homestay - not so easy - wall. Holly and I take the bus for S/. 1 a Plaza San Miguel (3 floor open air mall). We are meeting up with Holly's compañera PUCP (Helen) at the Starbucks - I think you can find it on the 2nd floor at the mall. While Holly shops, I make some observations of the outdoor mall. "What if it rains?" I thought, - "No, it can't rain here- otherwise they would need a ceiling of some sort, right?". Jinxing myself is what I do on a bi-weekly basis. Holly bought Peruvian threads at - in my opinion - the best clothing store in the district, Topitop. Topitip reminds me of Aéropostle clothing stores in the USA but better because it is all about Peru. :) I can hear the song, ♫ "Don't stop the party" ♫ by Pitbull from my bench. The music is coming from Barletto café not far from me. I just might eat there later with Holly, it looks semi-italian as opposed to what the music is telling me. Looking up, I forget that I'm not indoors. Oh, yeah, so going to burn today with or without sunblock - closer to the equator. It's partly cloudy and oh so sunny that I will miss this when I'm back in Indiana - wait, I just arrived a week ago, I have plenty of time still! No worries, enjoy the lovely weather for all it's worth. My host family told me several times to be careful in Plaza San Miguel because of theft. Which I can't see happening as there are patrol personnel left and right everywhere I look from entrances to walkways - everywhere. I couldn't expect a more secure place to go shopping. I think the part that I need to worry about is taking a ride back to my district haha. Safety first.

Topitop yemeyi çok seviyorum ama; yaşım gereği toplum içerisinde yemekten biraz çekiniyorum. Aslında ben çekinmiyorum ama; topitop ağzımdayken insanların bakışları, bana bakarak aralarında konuşmaları beni rahatsız ediyor. Toplum çok baskılı arkadaş. Ben rahatça topitop yiyebilmek istiyorum!
