What are your thoughts on fanfiction?

Yet another anon ask (do y'all think I'll judge you for asking stupid questions? I promise I won't.)

Honestly? I think fanfiction is great. Some of my first digitally published work was fanfiction, and- although the sight of it horrifies me now- it taught me a lot about writing and how I'd come to find my own style.

I think it's a fantastic way to write creatively without having to start from scratch every single time. (It took me five years to write TOPN, so I completely understand how difficult universe building can be.)

Overall, I thoroughly encourage you to write fanfiction about any of my characters, and if it's on AO3, there's a good chance I'll read it myself. I only ask that you please keep minors out of morally compromising situations (NO NSFW WITH MY BABIES PLEASE), and don't ship minor/adult duos, especially not with parental figure relationships. (Such as Jon/Kaia or Clara/Roscoe)
