This place reminds me of our childhood days. And I am happy to visit here sometime. We have our land here where we grow rice and other paddies. Whenever we come here specially, on monsoon and harvesting time, we used to go to the river and fish a fish. Time goes by and the river changes into drainage canal, an aquatic habit disappears. Likewise, I couldn't able to find any fish on that day. And now, muddy water flows 24/7 because of road which is being made on the side of the river. Because of that, the whole ecosystem is altered seriously. Moreover, after 2015 massive earthquake, people are making new house on high quality arable land of Kathmandu valley which is obvious. But, the rate of changing into concrete is very high than expected. As you can see in the photo also that how far sub urban, Chapagaun has expanded! I have no worries about the change of landscape. But, I am seriously concerned about something that how can we save our natural resources like 1000 years old rivers and streams? (However, change is necessary and I thought that I wouldn't be able to see mustard field again here in Kathmandu. This is where I enjoyed bird watching. The colorful winter birds including giant eagles were flying from one tree to other. And for the first time, I spotted yellow and orange colored robins. What if I had teleport lens, I would be spending all day here watching their activities through viewfinder. However, the views from here are spectacular for Plein air paintings. It's truly bucolic. I went upside the hills to reach Tinpane Bhanjyang from the right hand side of the Kote Danda. Beside companionship, silent retreat is also important in our life. Well, while I was hiking up the wild mountains all alone, a family of four gave me a companionship along the way. They took a rest on the top of the mountain and I walked down the valley.
