Suck into these footlong donuts for the ultimate treat. They're ideal for sharing or giving in to your sweet tooth. Add the toppings of your choice to personalize them!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 2 tbsp melted butter. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Vegetable oil for frying. 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze. 2-3 tbsp milk for glaze. Sprinkles or toppings of your choice.
Instructions: Mix the baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and all-purpose flour together in a sizable mixing bowl. Mix the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a different bowl. Mixing until a dough forms, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/2 inch after kneading it until it becomes smooth on a floured surface. Cut the dough into the shape of footlong donuts using a knife or a footlong donut cutter. Preheat 350F 175C vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large deep skillet. The footlong donuts should be carefully lowered into the heated oil and fried for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown. After taking the donuts out of the oil, drain any excess oil by placing them on a plate covered with paper towels. To make the glaze, whisk the milk and powdered sugar together in a bowl. To get the right thickness, adjust the amount of milk. Coat every footlong donut completely with glaze by dipping it into it. While the glaze is still wet, you can also top it with your favorite toppings or sprinkles. Before serving your footlong donuts, let the glaze set for a few minutes. Have fun!
