We feel this allows people to build up and prepare to raid/be raided instead of having to worry about it all the time. Our server holds 50 people and we have 15-20 players that visit the server regularly and a few that visit from time to time. A recent addition to our server is our massive arena that players can 1v1, have team deathmatches, free for alls, and win prizes. We'll also be adding a leaderboard for players to admire their accomplishments. We have six active admins that frequent the server to protect against hackers, enforce the rules, and make sure everyone is playing fairly. We have an amazing community and we would love for you to join us! API: How-to

This will serve as updates to the api tool.

To check if a user has voted or not

GET: http://api.toprustservers.com/api/get?plugin=voter&key={API_KEY}&uid=XXXXXX

Has voted/not flagged: Returns "1" Hasn't voted/flagged: Returns "0"

To register that a user has received their goods:

PUT: http://api.toprustservers.com/api/put?plugin=voter&key={API_KEY}&uid=XXXXXX

Return  "1" if flagged successfully.

the UID is the steam64bit community id (EG: 76561197961590991)

Update to end all updates (API/Sponsored)

It's been a while since we've last spoken.  We've still been working hard on taking over the world, rest assured.  

The first order of business is the new API feature:

To access: Go to your server listing > Edit Server Listing > Request API Key  (at the bottom).

DO. NOT. GIVE. OUT. YOUR. API. KEY

The API system will allow you to build things that work with the site.  Each user can choose what they want on their profile or not.  This way you can still keep the vanilla feel of top rust servers while some will expand their listing to provide more data for their visitors.  It's up to you! 

Here's what that looks like:

The voter is something I created personally in-house.  It allows you to run a check via the API to see if a user has voted recently for your server, and then it flags that user so they can't receive anything else by running the command again until they vote again.  Yes, it's incentification.  Yes, it will help get votes to your server.  But really, does that matter?  If people like your server they'll vote.  It's that simple.

Sponsored Bidding

We'll open back up again on Thursday.  You already know how this works.  There's a small change - only servers with rank 400 or less can bid.  Sorry new guys, just how it's gotta be to prevent what happened last time.  I'll build in a whitelist feature if you want to prove to me you are willing to pay what you say you will if you win.  

Ranking Changes

It's nearing the end of the month and with that, we get a vote/rank reset.  I know, it's viewed unforvorably by some.  We'll make some changes to the way we deduct/add points, though.  

Starting with the new update your server will only lose rank when you are offline when your uptime is less than 85%.  This will make small hiccups not hurt your overall rank.  We'll also be given you points when your server gets a player population of 20% of the total slots available each time we ping.  All of this will be in the how we rank section when it's live.
