He was drunk and when he reached out in the dark and didn’t find Tora’s waist
to hold in his bed, he got up and stumbled his way to the place where she was
staying. He knocked the door four times, each time louder than before. When it
became obvious that she refused to let him in and her neighbours told him to get
the hell out, James then decided to make a scene. Punching people, kicking at
the door, screaming as loud as possible, as if there were demons scratching &
biting his insides. There were some things he never got to say and he needed to
let them out. Or maybe he just needed to see her. When she finally opened the
door, everything else around him seemed to just disappear. He told her he wanted
her to come back home but she didn’t seem to hear the meaning in his words, so
he kept saying it until she told him he meant nothing to her. Those little words made
something within him snap and then, only pain filled him. The kind of pain that left
him speechless for a minute or two. "Say you don’t love me, then…“ He challenged
her. “Just say it and I will leave you alone”
Tora was in as much pain as he was, but she was much better at hiding it.
That was getting harder and harder to keep at bay, though, when he was
showing up at all hours of the night causing a massive scene and pleading
for her, it was making her heart break into pieces. It wasn’t fair that he was
trying to force her hand here, because he had been the one to do this to them.
“I can’t!” The brunette admitted, tears flooding her eyes, though anger was
flashing behind them as well. Her eyes finally left him, flashing around at the
hotel hallway, hearing the angry people he’d disturbed and quickly grabbing
at his shirt, pulling him inside the room so there’d at least be some peace
for the poor innocent bystanders. “This is all. your. fault. So why are you
coming around harassing me in the middle of the night?”
