Did you attend ToraCon from 2009-2012? You may remember the Cosplay Mom
From about 2009 to 2012, a group of my friends attended ToraCon, and with them came Mom. She was a larger lady with short, tight blonde curls, and on days she was out and about instead of sitting in the parking lot, she wore a big purple lolita dress.
At around noon to lunchtime, when all the vendor trucks would come in, she would hand out pre-made PB&J and ham-and-cheese sandwhiches in ziploc baggies to anyone who wanted one or couldn't afford the vendor food. She told pretty much everyone who showed up to just call her Mom.
Mom (The Cosplay Mom from ToraCon years 2009-2012) passed away this December. But if you remember her in any way, please share whatever memories you have, no matter how brief. I think she'd like to be known as Mom forever.
