If you want to win the Doctor’s hearts, one of the best ways --though not absolutely required-- is to be compassionate and kind. Make him see it. Be attentive and gentle to other people when he’s not. Call him out on being rude or harsh. Show compassion to others in small ways and small gestures. He’ll be awed each time he notices.

A second thing, which pretty much goes hand in hand with the previous one, is to keep an open mind. Always. Be ready to try all the things, to go out adventuring. But ALSO, be open about all the alien species you meet. Don’t stop at the appearance, and never, ever go to them talking about violence or wariness unless you have a real reason to. Even then, just don’t.

Don’t be afraid to stand up against him. Seriously, that might seem counterproductive, but it’s actually very important. Don’t let him drag you around all the time. Do it for him too. Push him out of his comfort zone, suggest things, resist his ideas when they don’t agree with your moral sense. Don’t be afraid to enforce your limits. Of course, don’t make a point of pushing him all the time, but a little pushing goes a long way towards building his respect of you.

I think all of those in general go towards saying: if you want to seduce the Doctor, don’t try to seduce him. You’ll do a far better job at winning his hearts if you stay yourself and instead act outwards. Direct kindness not at him but at the world and he’ll fall for you without even noticing.

Before she dashed to Jack’s office Rose hit the alarm that would alert one of the other Torchwood facilities and her teammates there was an emergency at the Cardiff office. There was no way she was going to be able to take down 40 weevils, without a gun or back up. She could hear them running around the office, hear the screech of the dinosaur as it tried to escape them.

A loud bang reached her ears, and over the next few minutes she listened to a fight happening outside as she clutched a knife to her chest (it was the only weapon she found in Jack’s office). When it was finally quiet she peaked her head out, keeping the knife ready in case a weevil was still lurking around.

BUT people tend to equate him being a big old softie nerd with him being weak, which is a mistake. He’s more than just the tech support, or a sidekick-- if he has to, he will absolutely bite and scratch and claw to achieve his goals and protect his own. His passion for things is what emboldens him.
