My J2 Photo Op from TorCon2017

I always like to let the people I have met  go first because it means I get to watch them get their photos and watch their joy. It truly is a beautiful thing. Seeing the boys interact with the fans feels me up with so many good happy feelings.

Once I got into the photo op room I could see the boys and it was amazing. Jensen was dancing and singing with the music and Jared just beams with happiness. He is such a big adorable puppy. Because they are so tall I couldn’t see their faces around the  lighting umbrellas so I just squatted down to see around them and to see the boys for 30 more seconds of viewing. I gave no shits what people thought. 

Jensen does the thing where he scans the line with his eyes...and talk about making your heart beat faster when he looks right at you (with your giant smile plastered to your face). Next thing I knew it was my turn. I don’t remember saying hi... I remember saying “Jensen I gave you a hug earlier so I am going to hug Jared this time. But I still would love your super big smiles!” And then Jared grabbed me and hugged me and just as Chris is about to snap the picture Jared somehow squeezes me tighter and I take big breathe in and fuuucckkkk I smell the musk.... No way to describe it. 

 And then I was sent on my way. Shell shocked. Walking up to them is just something else. You’re surrounded by giant men and it’s somewhat overwhelming but so good at the same time. It’s just Jared and Jensen is all you can see and they are both coming toward you. It’s truly something else. Also Jared’s hugs are something else. like from another dimension. Chuck knows I love Jensen but Jared’s hug did something to my soul.

Kim & Briana’s TorCon Panel

Spoilers for Wayward Sisters ahead...

First of all, these two are so fucking kickass and awesome, I just wanted to listen to them all day. Here are some highlights from their panel. Quotes are approximate... I was scrambling to write everything down, so a few words may be off here and there

They believe the fandom made the spinoff. Kim said, “never in the history of ever has a fandom said, ‘we want a pony’ and the powers that be said, ‘saddle up!’”

Someone asked what the theme song would be to Wayward Sisters. Briana said that’s up to us to define.

Both were asked about a hypothetical French Mistake scenario for Donna and Jody where they found themselves in Briana and Kim’s bodies doing SPN cons. Briana said her character would be shocked by all the crass humour she surrounds herself with. Kim said Jody would be much like Mark Sheppard: NOPE (arms folded, and grumpy.) 

Someone asked if Donna and Jody will be working together in Wayward Sisters. A resounding YES. There are 6 women: Jody, Donna, Claire, Alex, Patience, and Kaia (a dreamwalker.) All have very specific roles to play and will be playing them together. Described them as “a cohesive army.”

Kim lamented the depiction of female characters in media as being either weak or strong. Said women can be both, and neither, and that’s what we’ll see in Wayward Sisters. All the characters have their own dreams and desires of their own, and are above all else human. And so far, none of them are talking about men.

Someone asked what they would do if they could write an episode. Briana wants a day of just following Donna’s daily routine. Kim wants to see the underground hunters: gay hunters, trans hunters... just fucking shit up.

Kim believes it was important that Jody resisted loving Bobby. Missing out on that opened her up to loving the girls. Now she’s willing to say yes to love when it presents itself.

Someone asked if they could resurrect a dead character from SPN to appear on Wayward Sisters who would they pick. They both smirked and looked at each other. They said they couldn’t answer that without spoiling  things. Kim said, “We happen to know that not everyone is dead. Merry Christmas."
