     “Is there no one you can trust..?” She asked in a whisper of a voice, bringing her legs closer to try and conserve heat. It was a cold night and even though they had checked the area and worked hard until it was clear, they couldn’t afford the risk of lighting up a fire and attracting unwanted attention to themselves. 

Alice wasn’t even looking at the man, knowing what his answer would be already. She was actually starting to think that he was right in thinking that way. But right then, she just wanted to break the silence, fill it with something other than the looming feeling of impending danger.

      "Soo..... This is awkward." Pulled the short straws and got the LATE night watch party, Zoey's just kind of rolling with it but an hour and a half of mostly silence and staring through the scope of a rifle kind of blowed, big time. A smirk crept it's way onto the girl's features, though it was mostly concealed by the darkness.

      "Ha, I bet you'll get pounced by a Hunter before morning." They said he was what, a betting man right?       "I bet you three cans of beans." 

Big gamble, but not really because honestly Zoey didn't like beans anyway, she kept her own stock of other canned goods to eat most of the time and gave away the beans. She'd have to quit eventually, but she's biding her time. You know, waiting for a cure.

"Almost as hilarious as your face."

21. I hate you

"You are an unoriginal brute." Nick sneered, turning his nose up at the biker. Things had happened to their groups, resulting in the duo ending up stuck together in a safe house. They haven’t even tried to get along and only have been spouting off insults to each other.

"I hate you…" Francis repeated, Nick’s brow giving a twitch of annoyance and an angered huff left his lips. 

"You greased up ball of sweaty dicks…" Nick hissed at him and once again, Francis replied.

"I hate you."

"Stop saying that!" Nick snapped and Francis gave the smallest of smiles, pleased that his repeated words were oh so easily pissing the conman off. It was always easy.
