I went to a deconstructed ramen shop the other day, and the decor there was a delightful blend of different Shinto/Japanese themed decor.
Right by the entrance way they had this Shimekazari decoration which as I've mentioned before is hung up at houses entryways during new years. Alongside it they had several koi nonori.
The shining glory for me at leas was the fact that they had two Kadomatsu framing the countertop, and then to the right of it a little torii gate with maneki Neko, and the wall of daruma dolls.
I live in an area with a lot of Japanese immigrants, so this sort of random decor is fairly common. Still funny to see all the seasonal clashes.
