Stiles felt dazed and sore as Derek brought him in, leaning heavily on the werewolf or risking losing his footing completely. His head pounded and he had a gross metal taste in his mouth. The last thing he remembered was running into that clearing in the woods and a huge ball of light slamming into him.

He felt Derek set him down and he winced, his head lolling back to rest against the wall. The room was spinning, making him dizzy, so he closed his eyes but that just made it worse, his chin dropping to his chest and his boy threatening to spill him onto the floor.

What brought him back to awareness was the sharp sting on his forehead. “Ow! Son of a-!” He yelped, jumping back with speed he didn’t know he had. He glared at Derek’s blurry face, tilting his head back again so the wall could support him as he said, “I’m used to it. It kinda comes with the territory, ya know?”

Opinion on;

Character in general: i used to be a little :\\\ about derek hale. idk why but maybe because he was such an edward cullen with all the brooding in the first few episodes of teen wolf? but then i started loving him & that’s really important because character development. next to lydia, derek hale has developed a lot too. & i just? really want derek to be happy. he doesn’t deserve any bad things. like please someone protect this precious child. idk give them a basketball, play with them. ruin lacrosse sticks. just keep him smiling because angels cry when he smiles. stiles was a very… d i s t r a c t i n g person, to say the least. he was always moving some p a r t of himself, whether it be tapping his fingers on the table, bouncing his knee, or even just moving his eyes around the room too damn m u c h. it was annoying yet a m u s i n g, easy to just s h r u g off since it was just a stiles thing.

but there was this o n e thing that stiles just kept DOING, & it was distracting derek, not-so-safe thoughts c l o u d i n g his mind.

it's an act done unconsciously, at the most random times. sometimes he'd bite on his lower lip, sometime he'd be biting on the skin of his fingers, more often than not, he tends to lick his lips. people have called him out on it, told him how weird he looks when his tongue would poke out of his lips while he's trying to focus on something. he did try to control it once, but it only got worse as his chapped lips felt annoying & the NEED to wet his lips intensified.

although he wasn't expecting DEREK HALE to be so affected by this certain action of his.
