Mommy Mode: My daughter Ela's current interest revolves around princesses and anything pink! Last week, in their Cultural Literacy class, they were introduced to the different types of houses here in the country-- bahay kubo and the bahay na bato being the more famous ones. After the discussion, they were asked to do a "paper tearing" art activity of their favorite Filipino house. I thought she'd pick a Vigan house as peg but instead, she chose to make a TOROGAN, the home of Sultans! When asked why she chose it: "a Muslim princess lives there!" :) PS-- oh, and her Torogan is PINK!
