She knows of two: Darrow and Shadrach.She does not get along with Darrow, avoids him like the plague, and does not consider him a ‘true sibling.’Shadrach she adores, and is easily the sibling she gets along with most. Despite their many differences, they are a wonderful sibling team and support one another fully.

She knows Bart, but does not know that they are related. That being said, she does get along with him, much better now than when they first met. Tort thinks he could use a little more cheer in his life, so she does her best to be as friendly as possible with him without overstepping any boundaries.

The two she has not met: Robin and Sibjorn.Or not formally met, at least. They’ve likely crossed paths before, but not with any memorable interactions. Tort and Sibby would get along well enough, or at least enjoy one another’s company much quicker than Bart enjoyed Tort’s. Robin and Tort would get along in a polite sense, but it would take time for either to fully trust or open up to the other. Afterward, however, they would have a rather strong bond.

Tort doesn’t really understand why gender roles tend to be so forcefully shoved upon people. Why people will shun others just because they don’t “fit” the “role.” She doesn’t necessarily conform, but she’s not out doing hyper-masculine activities just for the sake of doing them. Tort does what feels right to her.

🌺 - Does your muse have a favorite flower? Why do they like it?

In general, Tortulja is not big on flowers. She thinks they are very pretty and some smell nice, but mostly flowers are not on her mind. Some of the few she takes the time to admire would be Amaryllis flowers, lilies, and orchids. Mostly due to their petal shapes.

In general, Tortulja’s eye is caught by deep purple, maroon, red or orange petals. Any flower with an ‘unusual’ petal shape also grab her attention.

💸 - What does your muse think of wealthy people? Do they resent them, or do they believe they earned what they have?

Growing up, Tortulja resented the wealthy. That was mostly due to conditioning and encouragement from her parents: neither of who were ever particularly wealthy, and both of which led lives that required them to steal from others. It’s easier to steal from someone if you view them as less than human.

Nowadays, she mostly has a neutral sort of view of the wealthy. She understands that some worked hard for what they have, and some never worked at all. She tries not to let a person’s wealth (or lack thereof) influence what she thinks of them as an individual, however.

If other people are involved, Tortulja will feel the need to do things quickly. She wouldn’t want anyone to feel as though they were held behind because of her. However, on important tasks, or tasks she’s doing for herself (or for someone else without their knowledge, like a gift or something) she will take her time and is often more critical of the outcome.

👩 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their mother? Is it good, bad, or complicated?

Complicated, but mostly bad. Her mother’s behavior always left a sour taste in her mouth, and the two parted on… less than pleasant terms. Had Tort been reunited with her parents before their deaths, they likely could’ve patched things up to a more rocky-good relationship.

She’s… okay with it?Tort’s certainly not of a mindset that she’s a bombshell or anything by any means, but she figures she’s decent enough to look at and she’s grateful that she seems to be fairly healthy.She has a few scars along her body that she’s insecure about - namely those in accordance with the Pit and the werebear attack that turned her brother - but she’s slowly coming to terms with them, and rarely dwells on them anymore.

Yes, every time. Tort has a little experience with injuries and wounds, but has no real skill with restoration magic. She only knows a little field medicine, and would do her best to stabilize the injured person in order to transport them to more capable hands.

As silly as it sounds? Happiness and well-being for her friends and family. Or just people in general, but she figures that might be too big of a wish for the Divines to grant.

Yes, and she’s of the thought that every belief (and every individual) gets their own afterlife. Or that’s how she’d like it to be, at least. The thought of some (read: mostly Daedric) afterlifes sound terrifying to her, but she always overheard talk of basically a big party with all your passed on relatives and some friends, and that sounds lovely.

💧 - How would your muse react to losing a best friend? How would they cope?

Tortulja would either crumble immediately at the news or hold herself together for just long enough to break down alone in her home. She’s already lost one friend (Will) and though she internalized most of her grief, she’s learned through working at the Hall that mourning is a natural and healthy process. She’d still be hesitant to open up to others about her grief and loss, but she would do so regardless of that hesitation because she knows it’s best she not keep her thoughts and feelings to herself.

🎭 - How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?

It depends on how overwhelming the emotion is and what it pertains too. Romantic emotions are typically bottled up. Romance has never been Tort’s strong suit and she grew up wanting to believe in love, but not having the best parental figures to show her that love is a real thing that exists.

Anger is usually kept to herself (in an attempt to stay professional and composed while in public) unless it’s white-hot and brought on by something incredibly triggering for that feeling to occur.

Sadness is also sometimes kept to herself (again, in an attempt to stay professional and composed), but she’s usually more open nowadays to expressing her sadness when she starts to feel like it’s too much for just her to handle.

In general, unless it’s a “positive” emotion (happiness) Tort tries to keep a lid on it if she’s around other people because she doesn’t want to cause a scene or be a “burden” to them. She has gotten better about expressing these emotions, however, though there’s still some hesitation present.
