Ana and I first met in February 2007 finalists of The Outstanding Cebu City Youth Leader College Category. But it was only during the search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) Central Visayas that our friendship blossomed. It depeened over time, strengthened by love for country and passion for service, tested by heartbreaks and misunderstandings. There were years that we didn't communicate but we knew, oh yes we knew, that no matter what happens, we will always have each other. This photo was taken in Dumaguete City. Taken 10 years after we became friends because of TOSP. We returned to this year's formation feeling surreal and surprised that a decade passed since the time when we were wide-eyed 20-year-olds ready to conquer the world. In TOSP we learned to lead, learn and serve for life. Proud and happy to share that the same love for country and zest for life remain. Wish the other 18 finalists were there. It was fun!
