So here’s the beginning of my next experiment . I’m testing the waterproofing ability of Epoxy, resin and PC petrify. The main thing I see so far is they are not doing as well as I expected and Resin is resisting slightly better then epoxy. Okay it’s been a month of soaking up water and as far as water resistance goes Total Boat polyester structural filler is the winner with taking only 2 Milligrams of water. The clear loser is Dynalite with one taking in 1.12 grams of water. I will let it soak for another month and start my next test soon. My good friend and often artistic collaborator, @alwaysstargazing, made this really cool petri dish resin piece, but something happened that caused the mold to fuse to the back of it. I suggested we just slice off the bad section, but it ended up giving us two really cool pieces instead of one messed up one.
