five times kissed but for poe u.u

send me five times kissed for a drabble about five times our muses kissed

01.       once, a game of tag took quite an interesting turn. jaina thought she was safe in the jungle underbrush, waiting for the exact right opportunity to leap out & scare her friend & then FLEE before he knew what was coming. it came as a surprise to her that when she did jump out, poe was ready to CATCH her. rather than proclaiming her the IT & running, he kissed her on the cheek. he left with laughter then, abandoning a bewildered young jaina behind with no more tricks up her sleeves.

02.       it’s long before she has any tolerance for WINE. she’s barely thirteen & the mandalorian stores of alcohol are no match for her. she’s moaning about how her mother is surely going to HANG her for getting drunk & how a bottle never seems to affect her father while he’s carrying her home in the twilight, promising to keep her secret. she lets it slip that perhaps he’s a better FRIEND to her than sometimes he is to her brothers, though she cannot fathom why. ( she has kept her growing infatuation positively to herself, unsure of such feelings. ) but the wine has given her a DARING edge & she tightens her arms around his neck & presses her lips to his. unfortunately, the anticipation must have EXHAUSTED her since she does not recall anything afterwards, promptly passing out in a drunken stupor before he can even tuck her into bed.

03.       when ben vanishes, jaina feels as though she’s lost her grip on EVERYTHING. nothing quite seems stable enough to hold onto —- not her family, her friends, her purpose. it’s unnerving to see her so shaken. when he kisses her then, it’s a PROMISE & for a moment, he’s able to stifle the tears in her eyes. it’s a promise that no matter what comes, he will ALWAYS be at her side. she can always hold onto him. ( & she always does. )

04.       they’re usually neck & neck in an unspoken RACE to any given rendezvous point, so as minutes clock by without a word over the comm, jaina feels her anxiety grow. finally, a voice breaks through with a glaring distress signal & moments later, she’s pushing fellow pilots out of the way at the CRASH site. when he rolls out, covered in ash but completely intact, it’s with fury & relief that she kisses him BOLDLY & in full view of their comrades. ( poe demands a rematch at a later time & she explains to him that he’s a fool. she loves him but he’s a fool nonetheless. )

05.       poe thinks the mission has gone sour when jaina turns up at the base several hours earlier than planned. she’s standing in the conference room with an ODD expression on her face but before he can ask what’s happened, she tugs on her flight suit ( as if it didn’t fit right any longer ) & announces that she’s pregnant. she’s shocked when her husband crosses the room in a flash to sweep her off her feet & SWINGS her around in a circle, cheering loud enough to grab the attention of those nearby. it’s his warmth & joy that incite the only natural reaction that comes, to cup his face & kiss him. ( they’re going to be parents! how AMAZING was that? )

                                ❝ oh! do you hear that, darling? i think someone’s COMING to see you -------- ❞       the woman speaks in a hushed tone to a bundle of soft blanket in her arms as she gently ROCKS in the chair in front of the open balcony. the warm yavinian breeze brushes the baby’s face, causing a plethora of different expressions that GLIMMER in her big brown eyes. as if she could answer, the tiny one makes a GURGLE, squirming slightly in her mother’s hold. the woman smiles back before looking over her shoulder, the PUREST of happiness quite clear on her face as she meets the gazes of both her father & her husband.        ❝ -------- are you ready to meet your GRANDDAUGHTER? ❞
