So I discovered that here in England we have Zebra Crossings, Pelican Crossings, Puffin Crossings & Toucan Crossings! Zebras have no traffic lights & drivers are obligated to stop if they see a pedestrian waiting to cross. Pelicans have traffic lights and the flow of the traffic is controlled by the pedestrian pressing a button which controls a timer for the traffic lights. A puffin crossing also has traffic lights but has its sequences controlled by sensors (yes it knows you’re standing there!) rather than a button press & timer controlling the traffic lights. And toucan crossings are designed for pedestrians & cyclists to use at the same time! Cool huh!!! Here I am crossing the road at a good old ZEBRA CROSSING .... Warrior (ll) style!
