We genuinely need more touch repulsed characters in media and I really mean that.

Like, this shit is socially debilitating and that's almost entirely because of other people not understanding or believing it and taking it personally. Like it should not be this impossible to get someone to understand that "physical contact is viscerally distressing" does not mean "I find your body specifically repulsive", and yet that always seems to be where it lands.

Representation might not fix everything, but it could at least establish it as a thing that exists, y'know? And right now literally the only examples that I know of are Kaz Brekker and fucking emperor Kuzco

Mom, at the appeal for me to get disability SSI: [misgendering] was born 4 months premature and the doctors said the reason [misgendering] hates being touched and never even wanted to hold hands with me as a little kid is because of the way the nervous system's development was disrupted by being born so premature. As a kid [misgendering] never wanted to hold hands or hug, wouldn't even let me or the grandparents hug [misgendering]. It's a real disability that shows how disabled and not normal [misgendering] is.
