Toucouleur woman, Senegal, by Mag Vision
This was a drawing I made when I was trying out a more realistic style. I was looking for vintage pictures of African traditional wear and hairstyles, because I really like traditional clothing, I think it's beautiful and I think it's sad that it's disappearing in some regions. I saw a picture of a Toucouleurs girl with a hairstyle that reminded me of one I had seen in old pictures from Romania. So I went looking for it and even though they are different, they sort of remind me of each other, so I decided to draw them together. I think it turned out nice, this might be my favorite i've made so far.
