And we talked about intimate it is to cut someone’s hair, and how she has learned to deflect aggressive intimacy, and how hair is such a symbol of power and sensuality, but I kindof loves being bald. I feel very feminine with my hair cut and eyelash extensions. And I love that they love my DIY color. And Kristin has nails that she uses as tools, to massage and lift the scalp. I had made two appointments over the summer when I couldn’t stand my hair, but cancelled both because I wanted more length before I went in. It’s an investment, right. And I’m getting ready for @ifpfilm week next week, so I want to look and feel good. And hair cutting must have a spiritual aspect: making people feel good ... and of course, the transformation.
