DRÖM TRAVELOGUE: OKAYAMA (JAPAN)
In our most recent trip to Japan (April 2015), we were at Uno port heading to Shodoshima Island and saw this Moomin exhibition poster happening at Okayama. And we thought to ourselves – ‘how coincidental, just in time for us!’.
Photos are only allowed nearing the end of the exhibition. Here's a 3D model of Moominvalley. This part here is the Moomin house with Snorkmaiden, Moomin & The Groke. The full model is actually very detailed and my eyes were constantly exploring every nook & cranny of Moominvalley!
And in the second last photo is one of our favourites - A photo of a photo of Tove Jansson with her moomin characters, inside the moomin exhibition.
Managed to also find these exclusive moomin tapes at the exhibition!! These tapes are also in conjunction with Tove Jansson's 100th anniversary, and in 2 different designs! We had seen these tapes since last year, and really thrilled that we could now own a piece of these exclusive tapes!
And finally, in the last photo – Moomin Mama's cookbook! But too bad we can't understand Japanese nor Finnish. We were thinking that it'll be fun to try cooking some Finnish dishes!
Really glad that we managed to catch Moomin's 100th year anniversary exhibition at Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art (Japan) – what a happy accident!
