about your activity rule (not criticism btw!) why are checks done at random? I worry that people who are only available to do their replies on certain days will end up on the activity check list more often than not bc of the randomness instead of being able to plan to have responses done beforehand
honestly, i’ve always conducted checks at random because i’ve seen that way people actually write. it’s like they stop worrying about the check and just preoccupy themselves with writing, especially when the activity requirements are so low ( you just need one post per muse to stay safe here ). however, i’m always open to suggestions and constructive criticism, especially from my members, so if i see things aren’t working this way, i’ll set a specific day for activity checks, for sure.
do you know when you might make rogue warlocks playable ? 👁️ just asking because i want to save one of my muse slots to play one in the future ! ty for this fun unique rp concept , i’m having such a great time planning around it !
uhhh, to be fully honest, i’m not sure when, or if, i’ll make them playable. i wanna see how rogue warriors and the freedom you’ll have to play characters with magic works first, and then i’ll consider it. i also wanna discuss it with my muns when ( or if ) the time comes, see if everyone feels comfortable because rogue warlocks, unlike rogue warriors, are very complex characters, and can be jarring, and violent, so it depends on a lot of factors.
tl;dr: i don’t know ! it depends on how things evolve.
i know x-kit but what is beta editor and what does it do?
beta editor is tumblr new-ish post editor, it’s been around for a while now ( around three years ), but there is still a way to access the old one that is incompatible with beta, and with x-kit rewritten, that’s why i ask their use. you can find more information on this masterpost made by the lovely rpschtuff.
this might be an odd question , but are matter warriors subject to any limitations ? can they make something that is stone into something into plastic for example ? like does what they create have to be made out of the same material they made it out of if that makes sense ? can the things they make move to fight the monsters ? also , i know there are speed warriors but i was wondering if warriors do have a certain level of enhanced speed or strength as a default ? ty for answering my questions !
hellooo <3 thank you so much for all your questions, they were great ! i’ll put the answers under the following read more:
ARE MATTER WARRIORS SUBJECT TO ANY LIMITATIONS ?
yes, all warriors are subject to limitations; the biggest one is that they run out of power. they still possess magic, it always runs through their veins, but it debilitates, and that’s why they need warlocks. there are also ethical limitations to their powers, although these are imposed and voluntary more than anything. blood warriors can’t, for example, use their powers to torture people or other warriors, even though it’s something they do to monsters.
CAN THEY MAKE SOMETHING THAT IS STONE INTO SOMETHING PLASTIC, FOR EXAMPLE ?
no, to keep it simple, matter warriors can only turn the same material, but into a different shape, unless they have another material close by. in that case, they can mix both materials and create something new.
CAN THE THINGS THEY MAKE MOVE TO FIGHT THE MONSTERS ?
yes ! they can move things ( and themselves ) at their will as long as they have the strength and the magic level to do it.
DO WARRIORS HAVE A CERTAIN LEVEL OF ENHANCED SPEED OR STRENGTH AS A DEFAULT ?
all of them enter the battlefield with the same amount of magic, but not the same amount of speed or strength. i haven’t thought about a system for this, but now that you mention it, i’ll add one, maybe based on dnd ability scores ! i’ll let you know once it is ready.
with that change to enhancers' description, what makes the warlocks different from the blood warriors? they do the exact same thing
they do not. warriors only control blood, while warlocks improve it, making it stronger. i forgot to add this to the lore page ( i already did, though ), but warriors run out of magic, and that’s why they need warlocks, because they need to recharge. so, as you can see, they do not do the exact same thing. as the lore page explains, warlocks are capable of so much more. also, i know having doubts can be frustrating, but i will ask you to be nicer next time. thank you.
how active are warlocks in the fights? do they stay back and act as support or do they fight as well?
they are active but not in a bellicose way. warlocks go to the battlefield to support, but they use their magic actively. they are behind the warriors all the time, ready to assist them and protect them, so their magic is always on guard, always ready to surround, protect, and heal warriors. the only warlocks who step away from the battlefield if needed are healers, when they have to take severely injured warriors to heal in a safe space away from the fight.
for the warlocks, can they control all of the magic types available but have the specialization?
actually, this is the perfect way to describe how warlocks work ! they can wield magic in almost every form ( because there’s always a limit, at least i wanna give this group one ), but they specialize in one of these three specific fields mentioned in our lore.
