(via Digitalblasphemy) Inspirations for Cross Tower.
"Another Cross Tower Installment" features the basement portion. In the last three we've covered the fourth floor, first floor and sub-basement. Now onto the layer between the first and sub-basement. It is a simple layer of the tower at its best. The layer setting is at a cooler temperature than most floors, seeing as it's located in the first layer of underground. It mainly is used for Servant's Quarters and their respective open bath house. These are the locations of servant's quarters. Any servant (be it maid, butler, chef etc) will most likely be located down here. Extended workers such as guards, tarts, etc, can also choose to live at the basement floor. Noted above are certain sections of A, B, C, & D. These are respective sections of housing. Most rooms are generally 13' by 13' except for some portions of section A where it is cut down to 7' by 10' due to "Tower Support Beams". Most rooms are left empty save for a standard bed and small chest of drawers until the occupant will move in. The Council does not have any room standards, only that it wishes for its people to live in comfort - assuming they do not harm their neighbors with their... belongings.
