It was sorta foggy in San Francisco tonight. Like a fog blizzard actually. Did you know that fog nourishes the redwood forests, and contains a bunch of nutrients from the ocean, like nitrogen, phosphorous and minerals? Whaaaaat. Unfortunately climate change has caused NorCal's fog to reduce by 30% in the last 6 decades. (I read all this in Scientific American.) Tonight, though, it was in full effect. I got lost driving through Forest Hills before finding my way back to the intersection of Portola and O'Shaughnessy, commonly known as the foggiest spot in the city. #fog #science #microclimate #norcal #sf #towermarket #sanfrancisco #wildbayarea #summerinthecity (at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts)
