i'm about halfway through xillia and i just wanted to make one remark. alvin and his constant betrayals are starting to feel silly to me tbh. he's just a dude they met recently and barely know and yet they keep saying before and after each betrayal 'i know you're shady and treacherous and you keep stabbing us in the back but we choose to trust you and believe in you for some reason' and then he betrays them again and they're like 'whaaaaaat?? 😱😱' and i just roll my eyes
like, i can imagine if someone in your life betrays you you'd want to believe them and forgive them because they mean something to you. but alvin is literally just some dude they hired for a job and then he betrayed them and they keep forgiving him again and again and again. it just feels so stupid. realistically they would be like 'alright get the fuck out of here' after betrayal #1
