Plot Hole For Monsters University

We know that the monsters believe that human children and anything TOUCHED by a human child is toxic, right?  That is a point made quite clear in both MI and MU to the extent that a whole event in the Scare Games is based off of that belief.  BUT, when pulling off his(epic, if I must say so)scare in the kids camp, Mike DOES touch several objects that have obviously been touched by children and by adults, without hesitation, and when you think about it, the vast majority of Scarers have to touch or at least be in physical contact with things touched by human children just to enter their rooms.  They walk or slither or whatever on the same floor that children walk on, touch the bed posts or frames, door knobs, etc.  I mean, the monster has to use that same door knob to get back into their world that the child uses to open and shut their closet door.
