Oh, they are so sweet and kind and nurturing and loving, I can hardly get enough of spending time with them. And strong, did I mention strong? They keep beating their record of 'most people bench pressed at once' and I am not sure there is an upper limit... And their baking, delectable and charming, it tastes like how I imagine a home would. I want to cuddle them and make sure the world is never ever mean to them ever again.

Painted Talons

“That’s the goal. Dramatic and shimmery.” Charlie smiled to themselves, biting their tongue and very much focused on the task at hand. Pun not intended. But they really did want to get the coats even so the Chrome would be as shiny as possible.

Fright’s hand in theirs was softer than they’d been expecting when they asked if they could paint his nails. Their own were a rainbow of mismatched chromes and holo glitters. They could never pick just one unless someone else was painting their nails for them. Not that it mattered, they’d pick it off and start all over again within the next few days.

It wasn’t as though Fright was the type to demand someone divide their concentration in favor of a conversation. Frankly, it was impressive enough that Charlie was able to keep the paint on his nails -- black on black wasn’t exactly the easiest to differentiate.

Matters proceeded smoothly until Fright realized that he’d need help removing his other gauntlet. “Are you planning to do both hands?”

Dib's eyes gleam eagerly in the glow from the bone knife as Birb charges it up just from holding it.

"Oh, wonderful, astounding. Truly, a marvel of craftsmanship- You said your brother made this? Oh, and your work maintaining it, spectacular, I could not even feel the edge of it nipping me." Dib babbles eagerly at their display, warmed at their trust in sharing this precious thing of theirs with him in this way.
