Second installment of the handmade Nexopedia :)!
Established climbers, Pira can be found in their volcanic home grounds of Ignitia scaling the black rock of the earth. Their bodies become blackened with ash as they age- the darker a Pira, the older it is. The flames atop their heads burn throughout their whole lives, and when there are gatherings of them at the foothills of volcanoes, they can appear to glow like far-off stars.
Golematon - Electric/Steel, 4’01
These Nexomon are like living batteries, and over the years have become a hallmark of the connection between them and humans. They have highly durable bodies and conduct their electricity with precise control; this combination has made them excellent for powering buildings and being used as generators. Their amicable attitudes and low need for food has also contributed to their popularity as a power source.
Toxipore - Grass/Poison, 1’02
Natural mimics, Toxipore have gained the appearance of mushrooms that grow all throughout the land. These Nexomon bury themselves into the earth during the day to sleep, and emerge at sunset to forage and commune in the summer through autumn days. The purple pustules on their head can burst upon impact, so it is advised that any Nexomon Trainer take utmost caution when handling their Toxipore or trying to capture one. They don’t possess life-threatening toxins, however for their size they can still pack a punch.
Pandicub are adored among young children and parents alike, for their cute appearances and their soft fur. They remain playful throughout many of their years, and grow calmer as their lives grow near their end; this makes them suitable for people who want a companion to grow along with them and settle down later. They also devote huge stores of loyalty for their partners, and it isn’t uncommon for Pandicubs to roam an old settlement or abandoned home, still searching for an owner they may have lost or been left by.
Gorgonita - Rock/Dark, 4’07
Masters of their art, Gorgonita have learned throughout the ages best to let their prey come to them, rather than hunt them on their own. It is through this that they have become sluggish, with rock-hard scales protecting them should any attacker find them. Their stares can fill anything with paralyzing fear, while their tongues also contain an agent that freezes muscles as well.
Flybuster - Bug/Fighting, 2’00
Flybuster are proficient fighters, carrying with them a fighting style unique to each individual. Their punches strike fast and hard, and if they give it their all, it can appear that their fists are nothing but red blurs assaulting their opponent. It is best to avoid large groups of these Nexomon out in the wild, as they can easily pummel most anything that gets in their way if they feel that they are threatened.
They can form flocks numbering the hundreds, with each Fropip clambering for the best share of communal warmth and food at any given moment. In the wild, the ice atop their heads actually serves as a shield from the brutal nighttime winds of the Frozen Tundra, and also as a floatation device for when they leave for the sea to go diving. In their flocks, there is a constant and consistent rotation among members; the core of the sleeping flock is warmest, but each night there may be a new group of Fropip in that spot. This way no one individual is left on the edge of the flock to be cold for too long.
