tbh i also thought about the fact that he’s a sniper so obviously his eyesight is important to him and in general but at the same time some part of him KNOWS he won’t have it forever (because he won’t. Around the time between the second Death Star and TFA he loses it for good if he doesn’t die by then). And he learned how to pick up small changes in sound for stake outs and knowing who might be coming up behind him. It isn’t something he thinks about, he just starts knowing ‘oh that’s crawl’ or ‘that’s mereel’ or ‘that’s Alpha 17′ without having to look around. And most people would expect it’s the helmet and its 360* sight but no it’s the sound that’s amplified in his ears.

When his tinnitus gets bad though he’s thrown off because he can’t tell anymore who is coming up behind him but he’s too stubborn to rely on his helmet. So instead he tests ways to feel the vibrations of footsteps.

@toxizzity I hope you want some feels this morning, the nice fluffy kind this time! I just had this sudden mental image of Crawl being so exhausted from manually flying for more than 72 hours after racing away from a battlefield with Sheres that he practically falls asleep right there in the pilot seat as soon as they land safely in a carrier. And even though Sheres doesn't want to wake him he knows he has to. If only because the pilot seat isn't very comfortable and crawl would wake up eventually to the worst pain in his back and neck. But then he also knows Crawl might not make it back if he had to walk back to his room. The only thing then complicating matters is that Sheres doesn't like to pick people up, especially Crawl, without permission unless the person is so unconscious he can't rouse them enough to get actual, proper, real consent. After two minutes of deliberating with himself, he gently wakes Crawl enough that the pilot can give the sought after permission to pick Crawl up and carry the poor exhausted pilot to his bed. And so Sheres does, Crawl basically being carried like he is a koala bear. No one says anything or does a double take because everyone there knows what it is like having to get a very sleep deprived vod to their bunk. No one cares this is an Alpha ARC carrying his pilot. In fact they would care more if Sheres had just left Crawl in the pilot's seat. But Sheres never has, never will unless he is not physically capable of it or he is dead. Sometimes Crawl does wake up at some point as he is being carried but pretends to still be fully asleep as he listens to Sheres's heartbeat given his ear's close proximity to Sheres's chest. He enjoys it while it lasts because Sheres can't stay long and take a nap with the pilot like they both want him to. <3 Sherbear and Crawl

Give me a character and I’ll tell you my headcanon for:

What they smell like: Mereel’s cologne.

How they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc): A heavy sleeper, but he’s afraid of thunder. If there’s a storm he’s up all night watching it.

What music they enjoy: Corr likes rock and space rap, and pop too. He’s obsessed with learning all the lyrics to his favorite songs and singing them. Corr performs these songs.

How much time they spend getting ready every morning: Corr is the guy who talks to himself in the mirror, I’m just sayin.

Their favorite thing to collect: Null ARCs.

Left or right-handed: NO HANDED

Religion (if any): I think he’s of the Mandalorian religion persuasion.

Favorite sport: Bollo ball?

Favorite touristy thing to do when traveling (museums, local food, sightseeing, etc): Corr wants to be a part of the night life. Thanks for that, Mereel and Kom’rk.

Favorite kind of weather: Sunshine. The more suns, the better.

A weird/obscure fear they have: When there’s no synthskin on his hands, he’s really afraid he’s going to accidentally hurt somebody with his metal fingers.

The carnival/arcade game they always win without fail: Eating cotton candy.
