the more i think about season 3 the more important i think it is both as its own work and as a response to how people engage with the original twin peaks
this feels really weird bc like. yeah i can name a lot of characters in twin peaks who would have voted for trump. ben horne would be pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into his campaign, just for starters. jacoby's radio show would be nonstop racist anti-woke propaganda for years on end. twin peaks as a concept is a condemnation of "small town civility" and a microcosm of our society's capacity for hate and violence, why wouldn't a significant portion of its citizens be voting in that direction also?
