I'm rereading The Pomegranate Gate but no longer have any social media apps on my phone so not will add some of my not-exactly-live-tumbled thoughts here. Very possible these will also reveal how much I have forgotten about the books and thus why I am rereading them before book three is released so soon!
the old woman's first conversation with Naftali feels like it has so much going on. why is she in front of his ransacked house – was she looking for the book? and is that why she's sticks with him?
"I don't exactly look like I swallowed a diamond, do I?" this makes me think she has literally swallowed a diamond
she asks a lot more questions about what happened to Toba than makes sense for her to ask. just sayin
