Jet found himself simping and it certainly won't go awful for him-
I've been wanting to draw Michael and Jet together for a fat minute since they both are boys with long dark hair and facial piercings and this turned out so much better than I expected.

Georges Dumézil suggested that the religious function was represented by a duality, one reflecting the magico-religious nature of priesthood, while the other is involved in religious sanction to human society (especially contracts), a theory supported by common features in Iranian, Roman, Scandinavian and Celtic traditions.(...) Dumezil proposes that there were two dialectical priesthoods(...)
According to Lincoln, Manu and Yemo seem to be the protagonists of "a myth of the sovereign function, establishing the model for later priests(...)
The double aspect of heavenly sovereign power would be reflected in the dichotomy Varuna-Mitra in Vedic religion and in Rome in the dichotomy Summanus-Dius Fidius. The first gods of these pairs would incarnate the violent, nocturnal, mysterious aspect of sovereignty while the second ones would reflect its reassuring, daylight and legalistic aspect.
Black Shamans are usually perceived as working with evil spirits, while white Shamans with spirits of the upper world.
One of these days I was checking the interactions of these two and came to my head the Manu and Yemos proposed theory of two forms of priesthood in early Indo-European societies. Which reminded me of their interactions.
The concept of the Pontiff and Iaachus
The theory believes that there are two forms of priesthood, the more wild, mystic, ritual turned with sacrifices and dark/left-hand duties, and then there's the Dogmatic, legalistic, and legislative priesthood ruling the religious side of ancient (and not so ancient) societies. Being that the darkest form would be the Iaachu driving the Dionysian/Elysian mysteries with its trances, animal sacrifices, and use of narcotics while a Pontiff rules over the most societal-turned form of religion.
This made me think that while Michael (Komodo) is more the Iaachus, Jace (dragon) is more the Pontiff.
Of course this makes no sense in its entirety because speaking clearly they're both a form of Iaachus since both are doing left hand religious magic but bear with me.
If the demon Strade had a religion in its full capacity I can imagine Jace being the Pontiff, knowing of all the creeds, a man of the Dogmas with its more organized rituals form of the faith while Michael would deal with the most Arcane form of it with mysticism, sacrifices and trance based rituals. The difference between religious ecstasy and religious trance, one made by communal faith mixed with song and the other made of communal narcotic consumption mixed with music.
Both would be important and used in different sections of the faith (festivals, holidays, certain rituals...) but the way Jace is the one telling Michael to calm down and reciting the prayer while Michael is the more pumped and overall drunk by the situation made me think of this.
