Meanwhile, in TPverse ~
With all the fangy drama on my dash right now, I suddenly got the inspiration to sketch Jer’s pointy bits with a bit more detail than I usually do.
His teeth look pretty healthy because he’s polyphyodont; his teeth grow back when removed, and will continue to do so for the majority of his life.
He typically replaces his canines at least once a year, because they get worn down from daily use or...bitey accidents, and they either fall out on their own or he yanks them himself. He’s even given his teeth as gifts to people that find them fascinating, like his old retired dentist who only has seven fingers left after his first - and last - encounter with smol, bitey Jer. They’re buds now, don’t worry.
Stranded!verse snippet
This place was weak. A weakness in the veil. He remembered vaguely that there had been a rift here, once. One that he had closed.
...One that he also remembered opening. The knowledge he'd unlocked was weird like that, a mass of déjà vu and unsettling familiarity. He was aware that normally, his mind wouldn't have been able to parse that much information. But he felt calm. He knew what was going to happen.
Someday, he'd come back to close this rift. Another him.
Shaking off the confusion, Jer paused, trying to figure out the next step. He cautiously raised his hands in front of him, and brought them together in a loud clap. The ice on his hands didn't shatter, like he'd expected. Instead the echos of the impact rang through the air in a beautiful cacophony.
The veil rippled wildly at the assault, before the waves became too much and it tore itself open. The Void stared back at him, the echos of other timelines blinking in and out like stars within.
Idly, he'd always wondered why he was able to traverse the void without being torn to shreds.
No, there would be time to ponder that later.
Into the rift he went, drifting in the gaps between Time. On his way home.
