yesss yesyes for sure all of that is so good. jake just talks about himself and that really broke her down and she deserves someone who cares about her and views her as someone great and admires her, not just a dump for all of their feelings. and like dave is a "cool" kid who gets all blushy around her like thats so flattering and important for her with low self esteem and body issues and like hes just so good for her and their dynamic and memeing would just be so cute aaah

Like, yeah I get that Jake needs to talk about himself and stuff and get attention, but he left his friend alone for half a fucking year and forgot her birthday. Like shit, man!! This girl is the reason you got to see your boyfriend in person!! She’s the reason you’re on this adventure!

I love it that Jane finally gets someone telling her that she’s attractive. Having Dave call her hot is just so... nice! But having Roxy and Rose harass her about it and Jasprose calling her cookietits and stuff is just wrong. She needs someone who will take her feelings into consideration.

Jake ain’t doing that. He’s been babied for so long that he sees himself as the one who gets pampered. I dunno if he even respects Jane. The two of them have skewed views of each other. Yeah, Jane has this idealized vision of him, but it’s a positive vision. Jake doesn’t seem to respect her.

But Dave seems real respectful of women. He may not know how to put it into words, but he respects her. He’s also a fucking dork and the complete opposite of what Jane wants. She wants a rugged man with a mustache and charisma and whatnot, and having a complete memer nerd lust after her kind of teaches her a lesson about appearances, too. It’s also cute.

yeah ok so like jane is rlly self conscious and a cinnamon roll who deserves so much better than she has so dave likes her and thats so cute and good for her and hes a blushy dork and they could discuss memes and stuff bc i totally see them as memer trash and like hhholyshit davejane is so.good also i call it apple pie for a ship name

when they’re cuddling and stuff, one of them would mumble “do birds have dreams while they sleep?” and the other would shove them off the bed

Jake really doesn’t deserve Jane. She’s too good for him. Jake is imperfectly perfect with all “cute” flaws, but Jane has more serious problems that need to be addressed by someone who hasn’t been babied and will actually help bring her up instead of being an enabler.

Dave is more mature than Jake, in my opinion. He can be immature, but hey they’re all teenagers. I think that he can handle Jane better than Jake can.

And Jake is kind of a dick to Jane. She deserves better than people who abandon her.I have a headcanon she has severe depression issues, like me. When she’s left alone, she can get violent, again like me, which would explain her outburst at the birthday party.

That’s all my thoughts, though. *shrug*
