Starry Weever (Trachinus radiatus)
...a species of Weever fish (Trachinidae) which is widespread in the eastern Atlantic ocean. Ranging from Gibraltar to the Gulf of Guinea, it is also thought to range even further south. Populations are also known from the Mediterranean Sea. Starry weevers are marine subtropical fish and, like other members of the family Trachinidae spend most of their time burrowed. Emerging to catch passing prey items.
